Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a heart-shaped cake pan.
  3. Cream together butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  6. Combine flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder in another bowl.
  7. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until smooth.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared heart-shaped pan.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool the cake completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Frosting and Topping
  1. Whip the heavy cream in a bowl until soft peaks form.
  2. Frost the cooled cake with whipped cream and top with slices of fresh strawberries and a drizzle of chocolate ganache.
