Cake Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a heart-shaped cake pan.
- Cream together butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder in another bowl.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared heart-shaped pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool the cake completely in the pan on a wire rack.
Frosting and Topping
- Whip the heavy cream in a bowl until soft peaks form.
- Frost the cooled cake with whipped cream and top with slices of fresh strawberries and a drizzle of chocolate ganache.
